Beginning 29th of August 2016 a colleague of mine, Julie Muttitt (Wellness Educator and pictured below), and I will be teaching advanced self care classes which are open to the community. We are focused on creating a wellness based community for those who want to learn how to care for themselves and their family/friends at a more advanced level.
My clients are complaining that the doctors are not teaching them anything about preventative health care. Gone are the days (decades have passed by) that RN’s were allowed to teach patients how to be well. I am hearing horror stories from clients who have had to go to the ER or be hospitalized. The time is absolutely now, that we bring this self care information to the public so they can incorporate this into their lives. We have to be proactive and we need to be empowered.
Julie and I created the schedule for the classes last week and we are really excited! We’ll be starting out with a Back to School/Work Immune Support class, to aid families in preventing the usual “go to school and get sick” response that happens to so many. It doesn’t have to be this way, this way of being sick and passing it around the whole family. As I ask my clients, “what is the cost of being sick?”. Consider the lack of sleep, mood and behavior issues, needing to take sick days, making up home work, parents home from work, lost income… the list goes on and on. It’s time to learn a new way of being and caring for ourselves that is founded in hard science!
Every Monday evening at 7pm, we’ll be at SEAPARC in Sooke, BC in the boardroom. Class fee is $15 to cover supplies. Each class is experiential. As well, you’ll be going home with samples of the appropriate and corresponding CPTG doTERRA™ essential oil and having had an experience that will open the door to supporting improved wellness. Connect with us on my FB page for more info!
These are not your “usual” classes. I bring to you a depth of knowledge of the human body, how it works, the physiology of the cells, how body systems work and relate to each other and am able to answer questions in a way that make sense and people can understand and apply to their everyday life. My motto is to keep it simple and make it easy. People just want to get on with their lives!
Subjects that will be covered over the course of this fall session are: guarding your families health, mood challenges, emotional wellbeing, GI health, inflammatory conditions, children and oils, weekend warrior, men’s night out, stress, sleep… the list goes on.
Empower yourself in advanced self care. These are significant tools for your toolbox of wellness!
