There have been some crazy colds along with Whooping Cough going around this summer. It seems hardly a day goes by when I haven’t been asked what can people do to help support their immune system. We are heading into the back to school and work environments soon and it’s helpful to get a review on how the body supports us as well as how to preserve and protect our wellness.
One thing people forget about is how important adequate amounts of sleep are. We tend to want to stay awake and running into the night, often putting in 18 hours of working-awake hours during the day. Not so good. Our brain, nervous system, heart and kidneys need to REST! It’s not just our body that is going about the business of the day… it’s our organs. Our adrenal glands get taxed, too much cortisol and adrenaline is excreted and our blood sugars get imbalanced. This equals more fatigue. The body/brain/body systems need on average 8 hours to rest. The body organs are busy at night and need the quiet to do their job.
Summertime is often when we charge our body up with sunshine. Think photons. Units of energy. Our cells absorb photons and help fill up the batteries in our cells. We can’t keep using up that energy and expect to be well. Most often, people will say to me, “I don’t get sick until I get tired”. Me too. Being sick costs.
Our body also needs Vitamin C. We don’t eat much citrus fruit due to the carbs, so we take Ester-C. I found I have had to increase the amount I take daily. Also, be sure to get your minerals via Himalayan Pink Crystal Salt. They are the spark plugs for your cells.
Aside from the above, there are specific essential oils that actually have the ability to knock down the viral and bacterial load in our body. This is something my Chinese Dr. of TCM taught me. Decrease your viral and bacterial load! We found out about a Protective Blend called On Guard™ that is powerful. Both my husband and I use it daily, 2 drops on the back of our neck or bottoms of our feet. We also have a roller bottle of On Guard™ that we use and it’s very handy, especially when traveling. It’s in a kit of oils called the Touch Kit. I love it as it’s easy to pack, quick to use and socially acceptable!
I’ll be teaching a class on Immune Support at SEAPARC in Sooke, BC on the 29th of August at 7pm-8:30pm. RSVP as seats are limited. We will be providing each person with their own experience doing the Infectious protocol with essential oils that are pure and therapeutic. That means there are health BENEFITS. Join us!
Get more out of life… Rebecca
